How TestedTools makes money, and why it never changes a score
TestedTools is free to read. It's run by Raj Devsi (trading as TestedTools). Here's every way we earn money:
- Ads: affiliate links. Some links are marked "Ad · affiliate link". If you buy through one, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We don't have any active affiliate programmes yet. When we join one, we'll list it here.
- Sponsored slots. Businesses can pay for sidebar, category and newsletter slots. These are always labelled "Sponsored" and are never part of a ranked list.
- Paid Fast-Track testing. A vendor can pay £49 to have its tool tested sooner. Fast-Tracked reviews carry a "Fast-Tracked (paid)" label at the top. The vendor pays for speed, not for a result. The test, tasks and scoring are the same as for every other tool, and the review can be negative.
- Our own product. We sell the Vibe Coder Stack Kit (£15). It recommends tools based on our test results.
What never changes
- Scores come only from our published methodology. Whether a tool pays us, sponsors us or has an affiliate programme has no effect on its score or its position within a ranking.
- Vendors never see, edit or approve reviews before they're published.
- We include tools in categories whether or not they pay us. Testing order: tools are tested in the order they were added, except Fast-Tracked tools, which go first. So, until a category has been fully tested, a paid tool may get its score earlier than others. We show how many tools have been tested so far, so you can see this.
- We don't accept payment for positive reviews, and we don't publish reviews that are fake or that hide an incentive.
